On Saturday 2 September 2023, the fair of non-profit associations that offer cultural leisure activities conducted by volunteers will take place under the Portici of the Maghetti district in Lugano.
The city clubs of the main table games (bridge, chess, local associations such as Giochintavola), choirs such as Coro Lirico, national associations such as Caring Communities, various cultural associations, InterNations, Agorateca will join. We'll have a corner for children.
It will be a meeting with the public of cultural and leisure associations that offer activities conducted by volunteers throughout the year. Each association will have a table to display their promotional materials and meet the public, immediately involving them in games, songs and the exchange of information.
This initiative will take place under the patronage of the City of Lugano, in collaboration with the Maghetti Foundation and with the support of SR Special Events Consulting.
Entrance for the public free.
It is an original idea by Ciao Table: for the first time in Lugano, it can be replicated in other cities.
The initiative intends to enhance the important role of these associations in the promotion of culture and social exchanges.
The following non profit associations promote cultural activities in Tessin. For the moment, due to social distance requirements, such activities are implemented online, downloading the free applications.
If you are interested in any of these group activities, you can join the association online now. In the future, when meetings will be allowed, you'll be able to join the groups in person.
Sometimes they are free, more often an annual membership fee is requested.
