Introduction to the event
On April 16, 2024, the 2024 edition of the Social Research Prize. The meeting brought together institutions, researchers and practitioners to reflect on issues related to social research, mental health and human development.
Institutional greetings
Opening with remarks by the Rector Luisa Lambertini and the president of Ciao Table Piera Serra.
Greetings introduced the cultural and scientific value of the initiative.
The award and laudation
The presentation of the work “Introspection,” created by painter Melina Leandro, opened the part devoted to the Social Research Prize. The researcher Rosalba Morese, patroness of the edition and a past awardee, then offered a laudation that emphasized the importance of social research in understanding contemporary human dynamics.
Lectio and panel discussion
The neuroscientist Sarah-Jayne Blakemore gave a lectio magistralis on the social brain in adolescence, addressing the cognitive and relational changes of this phase of life. The day concluded with a panel discussion featuring experts in psychology, philosophy, and active listening, discussing the challenges of psychological well-being for young people.
