SOCIAL RESEARCH PRIZE

In 2020 "Ciao Table greeting practice” he/she/it created Social Research Prize, an international award given to female researchers for scientific studies investigating the processes of socialisation, inclusion and social exclusion and the factors that promote it. With an innovative formula, the prize consists of a work of art assigned to the institute of affiliation of the female researcher receiving the award.

Since 2023, the prize has been awarded in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Service of the Università della Svizzera italiana.

He Social Research Prize it is awarded each year to a different country. The first edition of the prize was presented to the Università della Svizzera italiana for the innovative neuroscientific research into social inclusion conducted by Rosalba Morese, patron of the award. Switzerland, and Ticino in particular, represents the focal point of this initiative. The prize is a precious work of art by the painter Renzo Ferrari.

In 2021 "Ciao Table greeting practice” it awarded the University of Vienna for Giorgia Silani's research into the processes underlying the neurobiological basis of social cognition, emotions and behaviours. The prize consisted of a valuable work by the painter Enzo Tomaso Oliva.

He Social Research Prize 2022, the third edition of the award, a precious work by the Piedmontese painter Angela Policastro, was conferred upon the University of Amsterdam for the innovative studies on the understanding of actions and social behaviour carried out by Valeria Gazzola, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology.

He Social Research Prize In 2023, the fourth edition of the award, a precious work by the painter Melita Cavallo, was conferred upon the University of Cambridge for the innovative studies on the adolescent social brain carried out by Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, Professor at the Department of Psychology.
